Sorry It’s been so long since the last post! I was on vacation for a week and when i got back, it seemed like i never had enough time to get these pics done. But hooray! I finally finished it This outfit came to be ( In a round about way) because i’ve been super excited for the upcoming John Carter of Mars film * u * The song they used in the trailer is  ”My Body is A Cage”  - by Peter Gabriel (Covering The Arcade Fire).  It’s Such a good version, I have it on repeat right now ( I THINK they also used it in House, for anyone that watches that show). The Menagerie: An SL Art Collective.

After much deliberation, I decided to open a group on flickr. It’s been an idea I have had for a while now, and I decided to finally put it out there and see what happens. Sorry to anyone hoping this was a fashion post, don’t worry I’ll have one soon!

With so many amazing sl artists and flickrites, I was trying hard to think of a way where we could collectively work on the same subject matter, and see how our different ideas and perceptions can influence each other and help us try different things. Because of that, i decided to make a group, called The Menagerie. Each month, there will be a new theme up for interpretation in this flickr group. Anyone who wants to can create an image or series of images based on the current “Monthly Theme”. It’s all up to interpretation, so go wherever you want to with them. This group is open admission, so anyone can join, the only guideline being that the images (snapshots, photoshopped pictures, ect.) posted MUST pertain to the current group theme.

JANUARY 2012 THEME: BEAUTIFUL LOSERS.
The first topic I chose, is the term “Beautiful Losers”. This isn’t a test or anything, its a way to express ourselves and see what we come up with. Go anywhere, be creative, just have fun! I’m currently working on my first submission for this, and I REALLY hope people like this idea and want to try it out. For anyone unsure of where to go with this theme, something to consider: There are many ” Beautiful Loser” characters in literature, film ect. (i.e.: Cio-Cio of Madame Butterfly) you could easily bring those ideas into sl to interpret how you like.

Hello everyone, welcome to 2012! This post took me a long time but It was worth it (thanks boo for being so patient while I stuck feathers on your head <3) I have a really beautifully illustrated copy of this poem, and It was sorta stuck in my head, so I decided to do a pic based on the poem x3

Dragon Tattoo.

Big News Guys! Last night I got the group notice that Aydan Darcy of .HoD. and Nuuna Nitely of Nuuna had made another collaboration set, called Lisbeth. Anyone that is a fan of  the Girl With the Dragon Tattoo book series will love this set! The makeup and piercing are so perfect they look JUST like…well Lisbeth, and Aydan’s previously released draconic collar goes great with it (If you saw the Original Swedish version this looks just like the one she wore in the movie!) I decided to use a lil bit from the swedish version, and a lil bit from the american version, (Opens on 12/21!),and I am pretty happy with the end result! I put this blogpost together last night while I was desperately trying to stay awake for the 4 corners Event in the Meow sim, which I made it to…but then fell asleep right after -.- .  So this was the first thing I’ve done this morning!  :3 I will try to include info for the event in my next post, though I know lots of great bloggers who have already started posting pics. Now a lil about this post! Fashionably Dead (fd)  just released 5 new hairstyles out for December! I think by far Pebbles is my favorite but each of them is super cute and the colors that Toast Bard uses on her hairs are BEAUTIFUL. Also Miel has these amazing snowshoes as their current subscriber gift…thats right totally free! That is definitely one group you should all join, since they always give out really nice gifts. Last but not least I wanted to mention this wonderful store I stumbled upon, called RaMa Rowanberry, created by Corci Faullon (Faullon Resident). She has a lil bit of everything, makeup, tattoos, clothing, bags, but by far my favorite items she makes are her jewelry. They are so different and so cute! Everything in her store has personality and it just adds to any look you have on, Go check it out!

NOTE: I know most of you know this, but I figured I would just mention this anyway.
